Robert Redford‘s new directional effort, The Company You Keep, is definitely a film to see in 2012. While it just begun shooting, we now have some more names to add to the list of excellent cast members. Brendan Gleeson, Anna Kendrick, Terrence Howard, Sam Elliot and Jackie Evancho have all joined the film, which is based on Neil Gordon‘s book.
The film follows “an ex-member of the Weather Underground, Grant (Redford) flees his everyday life after a reporter (LaBeouf) uncovers his once-secretive past.”
Gleeson will play “Henry Osborne, the retired Michigan Chief of Police who investigated the bank robbery in the 1960s.” Kendrick has signed on to play “Diana, a young FBI agent and LaBeouf’s former flame who provides him with information he needs to uncover the truth about Grant and the Bank of Michigan robbery.”
As for Terrence Howard, he’ll be playing “Cornelius, the senior FBI agent on the case who has relentlessly pursued Grant across the nation.” Lastly, Elliot and Evancho will play “Julie Christie’s employer and former lover who works in the marijuana trade” and “Redford’s daughter”, respectivly
The Company You Keep stars Shia LaBeouf, Robert Redford, Brit Marling, Stanley Tucci, Chris Cooper, Richard Jenkins, Anna Kendrick, Brendan Gleeson, Nick Nolte, Susan Sarandon, Julie Christie, Terrence Howard, Sam Elliot and Jackie Evancho and will be in cinemas in late 2012.
