In today’s snippet of the most bizarre things on the internet, popular Twitch streamer and born-and-bred Swede Hans Eli Sebastian, known by the pseudonym Forsen, has been banned from the platform after violating the site’s rules against explicit and/or inappropriate content. He initially became well-known on the internet for competing in StarCraft II, but eventually found himself a dedicated fanbase after choosing to stream popular video games on Twitch.
The ban came out of seemingly nowhere and seems to incriminate the streamer without full context. It all started when Forsen clicked on and watched a video sent to him by a donator. Within just a few seconds, it’s evident that something isn’t right. The YouTube video seems to be an ASMR video that implies bestiality (sexual attraction of a human toward a non-human animal) as the audio graphically plays out a scene between a VTuber and a horse, during which she performs… questionable acts on the animal. We’ll spare you the details, but yes, it’s even worse than it sounds.
There are a lot of variables to this impromptu ban, especially since there’s fault on both sides here. On one hand, Forsen couldn’t have predicted the kind of video he would be subjected to, but at the same time, he could have quite easily clicked away after noticing that something wasn’t quite right. Regardless, the news spread like wildfire on social media, particularly Twitter and Reddit, as fans and fellow Twitch streamers reacted with a mixture of shock and disgust.
Despite the hundreds of comments on this Reddit thread, it doesn’t seem like anyone’s taking the news too seriously. In fact, as the internet usually does, many have made light of the situation and laughed about it as if it were an old joke between friends.
Even on Twitter, the comments are less than sympathetic.
Forsen himself has yet to post a statement on the incident, but we’ll be keeping an eye on his social media for further updates and inform you of any developments.
