Star Wars: Ahsoka is primed to grace the silver screen in just over a month, and with little time to go, fans are desperately waiting on Disney to give them more information ahead of the series’ release. While there is a ton of deep lore fans are ready to sift through, one of the biggest questions on many fans’ minds is whether or not we’ll get to see Ezra Bridger in the live-action series.
Ezra Bridger — just like Ahsoka Tano — was created for the animated Star Wars offerings that Dave Filoni and his crack team have been building for the last decade. A street-rat-turned-Jedi, Bridger’s popularity grew with fans over Star Wars: Rebels four-season run before disappearing during the series’ final battle with General Thrawn. Fans have speculated about his return since his disappearance five years ago, and the announcement of his return in Ahsoka had many absolutely overjoyed.
While we still don’t know if the crew of The Ghost will find Ezra in the 1st season of Ahsoka, we do know he’ll appear in some capacity. Trailers have shown Sabine Wren with holographic images of the missing Jedi, and actor Eman Esfandi has been tapped to bring the rambunctious Bridger to life. Beyond fleeting holo-images of the missing Jedi, Disney has been fairly mum about exactly how much Ezra to expect.
Even with the rather hush-hush approach fans are all too ready for the first episode to drop on Disney Plus on August 23, 2023.
