One actor making a name for themselves in the show is Billy HarrisBut who does he play in the series, and where else have you seen him?

Who does Billy Harris play?

Billy Harris isn’t one of Ted Lasso’s core cast members. Instead, he is one of the show’s many returning guest stars. When he does appear, Harris plays Colin Hughes, the left-winger for the AFC Richmond team.

Colin Hughes made an immediate impact on fans when he made his debut in the show’s pilot episode, with his thick Welsh accent setting up a joke that perfectly captured the show’s underlying themes and general tone, with Ted quickly having to learn the difference between England and the United Kingdom.

Since then, Colin Hughes has become a fixture of the show, appearing in most episodes. He has also had several scene-stealing moments, most notably in the seventh episode of the second season, “Headspace.” Colin also got some screen time during the first episode of the recently released third season of the show, suggesting he may play a much bigger part in the upcoming story, but fans will have to wait and see.

Where else have you seen Billy Harris?

While Colin is one of Harris’ first major recurring roles, the actor has appeared in several other things over the last few years. He’s appeared in single episodes of Raiders of the Lost Art, 2015’s Something’s Wrong, 2018’s Vanity Fair, and 2022’s The Outlaws

His most mainstream role outside of Ted Lasso came in 2022 when he took the part of JJ Moriarty in the Moriarty: The Devil’s Game drama podcast, appearing alongside big names like Dominic Monaghan and Phil LaMarr. Harris has also frequently performed on stage, taking the role of Matt Galloway in Nancy Medina’s 2016 version of Laramie Project, John in Tobacco Factory Theatre’s 2016 production of 13, and Callum in Pilot Theater’s production of Noughts And Crosses in 2018.

Billy Harris’ time in Ted Lasso makes it clear that TV and movie fans should get used to seeing the actor on their screens. As, due to both his skill and the show’s success, he will likely become a name to watch over the next few years.
