‘Warrior Nun’ showrunner picks way too easy a target to explain the laws of stupidity, and it isn’t Netflix

Canceling a massively popular show is definitely part of the equation.

The staying power and longevity of Warrior Nun has been easily underscored by the campaign to save the canceled Netflix series still going strong almost six months later, even though the streaming service has shown absolutely no interest in changing its mind on the fate of the massively popular comic book adaptation.

In fact, the company has only continued to cancel more and more fantasy shows in the aftermath, but the Halo Bearers are refusing to give up without a fight. It’s looking almost certain that Warrior Nun won’t be returning to its platform of choice, but the hashtags and petitions have continued to throw up a number of alternate candidates regardless.

However, Netflix wasn’t even part of the equation when showrunner Simon Barry decided to step in and explain the first law of stupidity, and if anything he picked far too easy a target after siding with legendary character actor and esteemed “That Guy from That Thing You Saw” Xander Berkeley to fire the simplest of shots at somebody who can’t help but find themselves at the center of a maelstrom of malfeasance.

This isn’t the first time Barry has weighed into the sociopolitical sphere, but he tends to be about as cutting whenever he does. The Notorious M.T.G. seems to have made it her life’s work to perpetually piss people off with inane statements and controversially inflammatory comments, but she might be getting more than she bargained for now that the Warrior Nun fandom knows she’s rocketed right up to the top their benevolent overlord’s sh*t-list.
