Unsurprisingly and entirely deservedly, Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany both secured nods in the Leading Actor and Actress field, although there’s no guarantees either will go home with the trophy looking at the sheer volume of talent alongside them. Kathryn Hahn’s scene-stealing performance as Agatha Harkness saw her shortlisted for Supporting Actress, while almost the entire crew were recognized in some form or other.

WandaVision‘s haul of almost two dozen nominations spans the writing, directing, sound mixing, visual effects, original music, theme music, production design and more, while the infuriatingly catchy “Agatha All Along” also found some love, and let’s hope we get a live performance from Hahn when the ceremony airs in September.

Biggest of all was the reality-bending mystery in Westview finding itself in the running for Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series, which sees Wanda Maximoff and her sitcom-inspired existence pitted against heavy hitting prestige dramas The Queen’s Gambit, The Underground Railroad, Mare of Easttown and I Will Destroy You.

The competition is fierce without a doubt, but you’d have to assume WandaVision will go home with its arms full once the technical prizes have been handed out. It also can’t be ruled out by any stretch of the imagination that Olsen could go home with the big one, because nobody can argue that the actress’ central turn was anything less than some of the best acting to be seen on the small screen over the last twelve months.
