You think The Governor from The Walking Dead show was bad? That dude was a fucking schoolyard bully compared to the Danny Trejo inspired Governor from the comic book. While there was a bunch of weird shit going on with him (like making out with his toothless niece Penny), there is no shocking moment of depravity than can even compare to what he forced Michonne to endure at his hands, and the revenge she took on him as a result.
It started with The Governor holding Michonne hostage. While we don’t know the exact details (thank god), we do know he raped her and beat her to near-death, over and over again for a long, extended period of time. Some of the things he says and does to her are the kinds of things you wouldn’t wish on an enemy, so to have it happen to a character we had truly grown to care about was hard to take. BUT, this is Michonne, so you know the story doesn’t end there.
It ends with Michonne escaping, and then coming back and exacting a revenge on the Governor quite unlike anything you had ever seen in a comic book before. She nails his penis to a board, pulls off his fingernails with pliers, and then she sticks a spoon up his asshole, twists it a bit, pulls it out, and takes out his one good eye with that same spoon.
I think I just threw up a little in my mouth.
That, my friends, was the REAL Michonne and Governor storyline. All that Andrea bullshit from the show can go to Hell.
