First Titans Season 2 Trailer Introduces Deathstroke And Superboy

Honestly, we still feel a bit bad about how negative we all were towards Titans before it aired. To be fair, everything about it looked pretty terrible. The costumes came off as cheap, the special effects were laughable and the trailers were cringe-worthy. But then the series arrived and you know what? It was actually pretty darn good.

So, heading into season 2, we’re actually quite excited to see how things play out and in a somewhat shocking move, DC decided to drop the very first preview for the new run online just moments ago. Why they chose the middle of the night to release it is unclear – perhaps it was a mistake? – but regardless of the reason, we now have the first promo for season 2 of Titans and boy, is it a doozy.

Where do we even begin? I mean, we’ve got Bruce Wayne, Deathstroke, Ravager and Jericho, Aqualad, Superboy and more, all of whom will make their DC Universe debuts on the show this year. And then, of course, we’ve got the titular team themselves, who are back in action and looking ready to pick up right where things left off in season 1. It’s not the lengthiest preview, but it sure does pack a lot into its brief runtime.

Unfortunately, plot details are still a little scarce, but from what we do know, Dick Grayson, Starfire, Beast Boy and Raven will most likely be squaring off against the aforementioned Deathstroke. Guest characters Jason Todd, Donna Troy, Hawk and Dove will all be returning as well and like we mentioned above, there’s a whole bunch of new faces, too, including Iain Glen as Bruce Wayne.

From what we understand, there’s a low chance of him taking on Batman duties in the new run, but just having Bruce around should be a lot of fun for fans and with so many exciting new elements being thrown into the pot this year, Titans season 2 is shaping up to be every bit as explosive as the last outing was. Don’t miss it when it premieres on DC Universe on September 6th.
