Of course, if history has taught us anything, it’s that a brand new iteration of the CIA staffer is lurking just around the corner, but the Clancy universe could be expanding in a couple of different ways this time around. For one thing, Michael B. Jordan’s Without Remorse has sequel Rainbow Six in development, while Michael Pena’s Jack Ryan debutant Domingo Chavez has been heavily rumored for a spin-off series of his very own.

When confronted with the speculation in an interview with Collider, the Ant-Man alum pleaded the fifth, but he hardly denied he’d love to reprise the role if the opportunity were to present itself.

“I don’t know. It’s up to the fans and up to Amazon. There are a lot of people that have to do certain things, but if people like it, maybe they’ll chime in and say, like, ‘Hey, we want some more!’ So, you know, we leave it in their hands.”

Breaking it down to its core components, should Pena end up headlining his own episodic adventure, then it would technically be the spin-off to the reboot of a reboot of a reboot, which themselves were technically prequels to the previous three Jack Ryan movies that starred two different actors, combining to form a ClancyVerse of five features and a TV show that boast five different leads.
