The Knives Are Out In Three New Scream Queens Posters

Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk's next anthology series is expected to do for the horror comedy subgenre what American Horror Story did for plain ole horror. Currently in production, the first season of Scream Queens revolves around a college campus which is rocked by a series of murders. How the storyline will expand past what sounds like the plot from Scream 2 (which, isn't related in any way bar its titular similarity) mixed with Scream 2-ripoff Urban Legend is as yet unknown, because Fox are keeping their cards close on this one.

Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk’s next anthology series is expected to do for the horror comedy subgenre what American Horror Story did for plain ole horror. Currently in production, the first season of Scream Queens revolves around a college campus which is rocked by a series of murders. How the storyline will expand past what sounds like the plot from Scream 2 (which, isn’t related in any way bar its titular similarity) mixed with Scream 2-ripoff Urban Legend is as yet unknown, because Fox are keeping their cards close on this one.

However, they’ll happily ply us with numerous teasers of its leading ladies engaging in innocent activities gone awry. The last 16-second tease showed Emma Roberts putting on lipstick and checking her reflection in a butcher’s knife, and that evocative visual has clearly struck a chord as she’s doing the same thing on a new poster. Thanks to EW, we’ve now got that one-sheet (along with a couple of others) from the forthcoming series to peruse.

While these briefest of teasers aren’t quite enough to suggest the genre is being well and truly bent – as the early press releases suggest – the cast and creative talent involved are why you should be keeping an eye on Scream Queens. Set to debut on Fox this September, the huge cast also includes Jamie Lee Curtis, Lea Michele, Abigail Breslin, Keke Palmer, Skyler Samuels, Nasim Perdad, Billie Lourde, Oliver Hudson, Diego Boneta, Glen Powell, Lucien Laviscount Ariana Grande and Nick Jonas.

SCREAM QUEENS is produced by 20th Century Fox Television in association Ryan Murphy Television. The series is co-created by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan. Murphy, Falchuk, Brennan and Dante Di Loreto will serve as executive producers.
