Teen Wolf Season Finale Review: “The Divine Move” (Season 3, Episode 24)

teen-wolf Teen Wolf wrapped up the second half of its third season pretty much in the same fashion as the first. The Divine Move started with chaos, leaned toward happily ever after somewhere just passed the midway point, and wrapped up with a nicely loaded cliffhanger that's sure to keep fans hooked until Teen Wolf returns with all new episodes this June.

Since the Alpha pack was effectively dismantled, the twins were left scrambling to find a place where they belonged. Knowing that Omega status would gain them few allies, the former Alphas attempted to secure a spot on Scott’s new roster. Although fans welcomed the attractive addition, Scott has some reservations. In a final effort, Derek (Tyler Hoechlin) convinced them to join the cause as opposed to the pack. In another unfortunate twist of events, only one of the twins made it through to the other side. Teen Wolf fans once again said their goodbyes as Aiden (Max Carver) became yet another casualty of the Nogitsune.

In the same setting, Argent (JR Bourne) once again proved that he is a profound asset to Scott and his pack. As Teen Wolf moves into the next season, it’ll be especially interesting to see how this alliance transforms as we see the reemergence of another character that was formerly believed to be dead – his younger sister, Kate (Jill Wagner). In case your Teen Wolf history is a little blurry, Kate was a regular during season one. As part of the werewolf hunting clan of Argents, she was abruptly killed facing off with Peter (Ian Bohen), who at the time was manipulating everyone in order to claim his “rightful” place as an Alpha.

Since then Peter has died and been resurrected. His character has been influential over the years by providing tidbits of knowledge that only he seems to conveniently posses. It was only recently that viewers discovered another reason why he was so keen on sticking around town, besides the love of his nephew. Derek’s mother removed a memory from him and he yearned to have it back. With the help of her claws, rescued from the burnt remains of their family home, and Lydia’s (Holland Roden) special gifts, he has now learned that he is a father. Lydia wasn’t exactly forthcoming with all the details, but it turns out that he spawned a werecoyote name Malia (Shelley Hennig), and she is the most recent student to enroll at Beacon Hills High.

Suffice to say viewers will probably be seeing plenty of both Kate and Malia in season four of Teen Wolf, along with more of Scott’s current love interest, Kira.
