Supernatural may have ended nearly three years ago, but thanks to a TikTok user, the series has gotten a second wind.
The hit CW show, which aired on the network for 15 seasons from 2005 to 2020, follows Sam and Dean Winchester as they track down wicked supernatural creatures in an attempt to save humanity. Supernatural starred Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, Misha Collins, Mark Sheppard, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and Jim Beaver. Despite the series ending in 2020, the success of Supernatural spawned a spinoff series titled The Winchesters.
In a recent TikTok post, social media user Berklie Novak-Stolz got the shock of her life when she found out that her book Lazarus Rises (amongst other things), whose themes are based on grief and the impact that Supernatural had on it, was on Amazon’s best-seller list.
In the video, Novak-Stolz revealed that her book charted on the number two spot for “best seller” in poetry, and took the number one and two spots for new releases. While expressing her disbelief, Novak-Stolz wrote, “Woke up to the wackiest thing. I’m the #2 best seller in poetry??? and #1 and #2 in new releases??? My poetry book about grief and hit CW show Supernatural’s impact on it is a best seller??? I am just some [girl]. I can’t do this [right now].”
In addition to sharing the good news on TikTok, Novak-Stolz took to her official Instagram page to thank everyone who purchased her book. She said as she shared a screenshot of her book on the Amazon best sellers list, “Not only am I now an author, apparently, I’m a best-selling one??? Thank you, thank you, thank you.”
Supernatural is one of many hit series with books written following its finale. According to the blog site Okadabooks, the list included Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Monk, Heroes, The X-Files, and many others continued its story long after the series went off the air.
At this time, the cast of Supernatural has yet to address the news.
