On last night’s episode of Supergirl, “Resist,” Rhea’s endgame finally started to come to fruition as the survivors of Daxam’s destruction launched a full-scale attack on Earth-38. For the most part, the Girl of Steel and some of her closest allies – Cadmus included – did a fine job of holding their ground, but an unexpected appearance by none other than Superman may throw a wrench into their plans.
We’ve known that Big Blue was set to return in the season finale for some time now, but his cameo at the end of the penultimate episode likely came as a shock to many, doubly so because he’s aligned himself with Rhea. This development will spill over into next week as the trailer at the top so kindly displays, but we’re guessing that Kal-El is under some sort of mind control.
Moving on, a highlight exclusive to the extended promo that we must acknowledge is that of our first official look at General Zod. In the past, we were offered peeks at him via some set photos, but being able to finally see the real thing is something else entirely.
