He might be three years into his retirement, but Steven Soderbergh isn’t letting that slow him down. The director is apparently now in talks with screenwriter Scott Frank and streaming giant Netflix on a new Western series called Godless.

According to Deadline, the show will be set “in an 1800s New Mexico mining town,” but any specific details regarding plot, characters, or potential actors joining up have been kept mum. Casting is taking place right now and the series is set to shoot in the deserts and surrounding area of Santa Fe, New Mexico.

The amount of Netflix original programming has absolutely exploded over the years. In February alone, the service debuted Love and Fuller House, and this month viewers will get to watch new seasons of House of Cards and Daredevil. Soderbergh came out of retirement before to work on the critically-lauded The Knick, so it’ll be interesting to see where the director goes with the binge-happy platform of his new partnership.

Given the amount of content Netflix has slated in 2016 alone, and that absolutely zero hint was given for a potential release date of Godless, it’s hard to estimate when the series will debut. We’ll be sure to keep you updated when an official announcement is made though, so stay tuned.
