When it comes to Star Wars and work like The Mandalorian and Andor these days, no one can just enjoy a project on its own merits anymore. Everything has to be nitpicked, compared to other things and, now, the look of Coruscant is making folks angry.

For those who have not watched the latest episode of Din Djarin’s adventures yet, it takes a detour to the sprawling capital planet made famous in the prequel films and the Clone Wars animated series. Here, we catch up with a few characters who previously worked for the bad guys Pedro Pascal’s beloved fictional papa had to fight, and, on Twitter, one user says the CGI has no heat.

Such online discourse has happened in the past, with fans of Andor labeling The Mandalorian as “childlike” and disdaining its use of The Volume technology. However, some do defend its use as, when the show visits places with an outlandish style or touches on very difficult concepts to realize realistically, you want a technology in place to powerfully bring fantastical ideas to life for folks.

Others attempted to infuse humor into the debate by suggesting George Lucas would have actually gone to the fictional planet, with others arguing Andor is clearly a project which came about due to dumb luck, given what Disney signs off on in Star Wars these days. While few are bothering to show any side-by-side comparisons, one fan made the effort to, and, in their view, what’s present in Mando isn’t exactly the worst.

You can decide for yourself. For now, The Mandalorian continues to air the remainder of its eight-episode third season every Wednesday. Another season is being developed and, while Grogu has not officially spoken just yet, some fans are convinced that he’s done exactly that in this week’s installment.
