With the SAG-AFTRA strike currently ongoing, scooper @chuckyupdates88 revealed on Instagram that production of season 3 is coming to a halt — a post that was seemingly confirmed by a studio worker who handles the construction of props and special effects after commenters on the original post insisted that it was nothing but “fake news.” You can check out each post for yourself down below:

With the second season of the critically-acclaimed horror series ending on such a high note and a heart-stopping cliffhanger, it certainly comes as no surprise that the majority of horror die-hards are noticeably worried about the show’s future. That being said, that’s not to say that the SAG members currently striking don’t deserve tons of support — because they most certainly do. In fact, celebrities such as George Clooney have already come out in defense of the strikers.

As it stands, we can all hope that actors and writers receive better wages and working conditions which will reflect highly in the third season of Chucky whenever it does happen. Until then, fans can watch the first two seasons of Chucky on Peacock right now.
