New Clip From Tomorrow’s Doctor Who Has A Matt Smith Era Easter Egg

The BBC's released a new clip from tomorrow's episode of Doctor Who and it features an awesome Matt Smith era easter egg.

“Don’t remember ordering anything. Must’ve been a while back. What do you think, still me?”

That’s Jodie Whittaker speaking there in this new clip for tomorrow night’s episode of Doctor Who, titled “Kerblam!” Set to be a lighter adventure after last week’s heavy and emotional “Demons of the Punjab,” it looks like the next installment will also be calling back to the Matt Smith era in a fun way.

As you can see in the video below, the Doctor receives a package and inside’s a Fez hat. Whovians will recall that Smith’s Eleventh Doctor took a particular liking to this piece of apparel and seeing it pop up once again on the show will no doubt put a smile on many viewers’ faces. Not to mention that this is far from the first callback to Smith’s Time Lord we’ve had this year.

Of course, the package also arrives with an ominous message saying “Help me,” which sends Whittaker and the TARDIS team off on another adventure to Kerblam! For more, check out the official plot summary that was released the other week:

“‘Delivery for the Doctor!’ A mysterious message arrives in a package addressed to the Doctor, leading her, Graham, Yaz and Ryan to investigate the warehouse moon orbiting Kandoka, and the home of the galaxy’s largest retailer: Kerblam!”

We should probably remind you at this point that tomorrow’s outing will air at 6:30pm, the earliest time yet for the new run. Apparently, the change is due to the BBC needing to make room for Dynasties, a nature doc narrated by David Attenborough, which will be showing from 8-9pm on Sunday nights for the next five weeks. Given that, it’s probably safe to assume that Doctor Who will continue airing at 6:30pm for the next little while, so be sure to mark your calendars accordingly.
