Despite last week’s episode of iZombie having left us on a cliffhanger with Ravi at gunpoint and the network holding its cards close to its vest by leaving him out of the trailer for “Conspiracy Weary,” his survival is seemingly DC TV’s currently worst kept secret when you consider that not only was he mentioned in the official synopsis, but is also front and center in a new promo clip.
What isn’t spoiled by the sneak peek, however, is how Ravi made it out of alive, so we’ll just have to tune in to learn that detail. Actually, the thread touched on here is that of Liv being suspicious of Major’s new girlfriend. Granted, this may be a result of her being on conspiracy theorist brains, but I’m guessing her concern is warranted. After all, there’s something unsettling about someone who reaches out to suspected serial killers, regardless of whether they were exonerated or not.
While it remains unclear as to how this’ll factor into the overarching narrative, I remain confident that the producers have it well in hand. Seeing as how this season has been so carefully constructed, this will likely pay off before long. Well, that is unless they put it off until season 4 as is the case with finding out who stole the cure.
As for the earlier mentioned synopsis, here you go:
SEND IN THE CAVALRY – Liv (Rose McIver) and Blaine (David Anders) come to the rescue of one of their own. They consume the brains of a conspiracy theorist and paranoia ensues. Meanwhile, as they continue to search for conspiracy theories that may or may not exist, Liv researches Major’s (Robert Buckley) new friend. Finally, Ravi (Rahul Kohli) makes a surprising discovery of his own. Malcolm Goodwin and Aly Michalka also star. The episode was written by Bob Dearden and Directed by Mark Piznarski (#311).
iZombie airs on Tuesday nights on The CW.
