If you’re anything like me, you can’t wait to feast your eyes on the newly-announced LEGO Batman movie, which will spinoff this year’s incredibly successful The LEGO Movie. While that particular project may not assemble its way to theaters until 2017, DC Comics and Cartoon Network are making the wait more bearable by airing a LEGO DC Comics special later this month.
Titled LEGO DC Comics: Batman Be-Leaguered, the project isn’t nearly as polished as what we saw from The LEGO Movie and is more akin to some of the straight-to-DVD films that spun-off of the LEGO Batman games, but it still looks like a fun DC special made more enjoyable by its LEGO makeover.
Batman Be-Leagured will tie into the upcoming LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham videogame and will air on Cartoon Network on October 7th, 2014 at 6:00 PM. It was written by Jim Krieg (Justice League: Flashpoint Paradox) and produced by Brandon Vietti (Batman: Under the Red Hood, Superman: Doomsday).
