3) That Poor Door
Jessica Jones‘ time in the Marvel Comics Universe pales in comparison to the decades worth of history that many other heroes have, hence why it’s not all that surprising that her TV series isn’t packed full of references to Alias.
Despite that, it does at least pay homage to her first issue in a major way, with the premiere opening with her throwing a man through the door of Alias Investigations just as her comic book counterpart did some years back.
[zergpaid]It’s no bad thing that Jessica Jones veered from the source material in a lot of ways, but including something like this is a respectful and fun way to acknowledge her comic book roots.
It’s also worth noting that the sex scene between Jessica and Luke Cage also strongly resembles the way that scene played out in the pages of Alias, so that first episode does take at least a few cues from the source material.
