Jeph Loeb On The Possibility Of A Ms. Marvel TV Series

As we know, Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers) will make her big-screen debut in 2018 - but what about the character who adopted her old mantle of Ms. Marvel, Kamala Khan? The teenage Inhuman (well, she's actually a human with Inhuman traits.. but we won't get into that here) has become a fairly popular hero since her introduction back in 2013, and the fact that she also happens to be a Muslim Pakistani American has led to many fans calling for a live-action adaptation sooner rather than later, given the current climate.

As we know, Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers) will make her big-screen debut in 2018 – but what about the character who adopted her old mantle of Ms. Marvel, Kamala Khan? The teenage Inhuman (well, she’s actually a human with Inhuman traits….but we won’t get into that here) has become a fairly popular hero since her introduction back in 2013, and the fact that she also happens to be a Muslim Pakistani American has led to many fans calling for a live-action adaptation sooner rather than later, given the current climate.

UK E! Online had this in mind when interviewing Marvel’s head of television, Jeph Loeb, at the Jessica Jones premiere recently, and from the sounds of things, Ms. Marvel’s popularity hasn’t been lost on the studio.

Here was Loeb’s response when asked if there was any possibility of the character heading to TV at some point:

“Look, that’s a character that has tremendous popularity and when that happens you know that I’m always looking around to see what we can do. We love the character, and one never knows.”

Obviously that’s far from confirmation that we’ll be getting a Kamala Khan TV series, but at least we know she’s on their radar.

Tell us, would you like a Ms. Marvel show, or do you think there are other characters that are more deserving of their own outing on the small screen? Sound off below and let us know.
