Well, that’s that ladies and gentlemen.
The end has now come for Game of Thrones and it’s left us with a ton to talk about. There were deaths, twists and more deaths, and nothing will ever be the same again. We won’t dive into too many spoilers in case you haven’t seen it yet – though if you haven’t, why are you here? – but it was a very, very interesting finale which certainly didn’t please everyone.
Then again, showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss already warned us that not every single fan would be satisfied with what they’d put together and unfortunately, they were right. Initial reactions on Twitter seem pretty mixed, with a good chunk of people criticizing the episode and just as many still in shock that the series is now over. We know, we can’t believe it, either.
Anyways, below you’ll find but a sampling of how folks are reacting and whether it be positive or negative, everyone’s got something to say about that finale, with every trending topic on Twitter at the time of writing being something related to Thrones.
I don't care what anyone says i loved the Game Of Thrones finale. Especially because John finally petted ghost. #GameOfThronesFinale

The moral of the story is:
Stories rule.

If the writers did anything right in the series finale it was letting Jon Snow pet Ghost 🐺 #GOTFinale

So, like we said, a wide range of opinions on what we just witnessed, and as more and more people catch the episode – because not everyone has the luxury of watching it live, believe it or not – Twitter will continue to be flooded with reactions. And even though the final season may have been a bit of a letdown all things considered, let us not forget what a truly incredible run it’s been.
Indeed, for eight years now, Game of Thrones has consistently raised the bar for television with its terrific storytelling, incredible acting and more shocking moments than we can count. It’s a shame that it didn’t end on as high of a note as it perhaps could’ve, but we’ll always be thankful to HBO, David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, and the entire cast and crew for giving us something we won’t ever forget.
