Filming continues apace on the Macon set of HBO’s Watchmen pilot, and another batch of photos have arrived to prove it. Only this time, there’s a twist.
As reported by Heroic Hollywood, the following pics appear to confirm the addition of Hooded Justice, a character molded after the KKK all throughout the original comics. It’s by no means official, of course; HBO is keeping mum on any and all details relating to Watchmen. Hell, all we know for sure is that Damon Lindelof is behind the wheel, and it’ll be a pretty huge departure from the hyper-stylized cult classic from Zack Snyder.
Exactly where these photos fit into the overall Watchmen timeline is anyone’s guess, really, but they certainly present food for thought:

Membros da Ku Klux Klan já haviam aparecido no set em outra ocasião. No primeiro dia de filmagem, a equipe de produção recriou uma rebelião racial ocorrida entre 31 de maio e 1 de junho de 1921, onde supremacistas atacaram a comunidade negra de Tulsa, em Oklahoma. #Watchmen #HBO pic.twitter.com/ffdE1CGuTO

Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons’ source material is still chock full of big-name characters, so even if Hooded Justice ultimately remains on the sidelines, then there is still plenty to look forward to when it comes to HBO’s reimagining.
And as we await the first-look footage, perhaps it’s best to remember Damon Lindelof’s quote about the ways in which he plans to tackle what is undoubtedly one of the most beloved graphic novels ever to release.
We have no desire to ‘adapt’ the twelve issues Mr. Moore and Mr. Gibbons created thirty years ago. Those issues are sacred ground and they will not be retread nor recreated nor reproduced not rebooted.
We’ll have more details on Watchmen‘s TV reboot as we inch closer and closer to release.
