The New Green Arrow Returns In Midseason Premiere Photos

As I've recently stated, it could be argued that less is known at this point about the rest of Arrow's seventh season than we knew going in this past fall. Fortunately, though, this week has played host to more promotional material teasing what's to come.

As I’ve recently stated, it could be argued that less is known at this point about the rest of Arrow‘s seventh season than we knew going in this past fall. Fortunately, though, this week has played host to more promotional material teasing what’s to come.

Speaking of which, the network has finally coughed up a generously bountiful gallery of preview images providing more insight into the midseason premiere, “Shattered Lives.” Furthermore, they shed light on multiple plot points, which is something you don’t see too often in these situations.

As you browse the slideshow below, it’s very possible that the shots of Oliver Queen’s sister, the new Green Arrow, will grab your attention most. From what’s provided, it looks like Ollie and the SCPD will be coming at her from one end, while Rene Ramirez actually tries protecting her. Some outlets are already referring to her as “Emiko,” though I’m not entirely willing to do so until her name’s actually spoken.

Elsewhere, John Diggle and ARGUS resume their shaky alliance of sorts with Ricardo Diaz as they continue pumping him for information. I guess if I were Dig, I’d want to do all I could to gain intel on the Longbow Hunters, but my gut tells me this deal won’t sit well with Oliver once he finds out.

If there’s one other thing I’d like to touch on, it’s that at least two photos confirm we’ll be getting more flash forwards. Personally, I’ve really enjoyed these glimpses into the future thus far, so I’m intrigued to see what happens next.

OLIVER RETURNS TO HIS REGULAR LIFE IN STAR CITY — Oliver (Stephen Amell) is ready to get back to work with the SCPD and to focus on his marriage with Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards). However, when Dinah (Juliana Harkavy) tasks Oliver with tracking the new Green Arrow (Sea Shimooka) things take a surprising turn. Meanwhile, Diggle (David Ramsey) and Lyla (guest star Audrey Marie Anderson) must answer to ARGUS about Diaz (Kirk Acevedo). Andi Armaganian directed the episode written by Benjamin Raab & Deric A. Hughes (#710).
