6) The Creeper
Pretty much DC’s answer to Deadpool, The Creeper’s leap to the screen has been teased for years. He first turned heads in the classic 90’s Batman animated series, and his cult followers have been waiting for him to get a larger role in the Arkham video games. H
e’s part of a line of self knowing superheroes who are in on the joke of superheroism. A self aggrandizing reporter named Jack Ryder on good days, on the bad ones, he transforms into a yellow skinned, acrobatic loon who strips down to his underwear and makes fun of Batman by beating up criminals. What stops him from being dispatched in seconds via shotgun blast is the healing factor given to him by a mad scientist.
I’m not saying such a character should (or even could) be a series regular, but if you’re looking for a good way to patch up that mid-season lull, he’s your man. Ideally (in Gotham‘s continuity), he would be an urban legend, too crazy for most people to believe in. However, Bruce Wayne is not most people, and would have begun his fascination with detection and vigilantism, allowing him to discover and investigate the Creeper, and learn a thing or two about the nature of unpredictability.
