At only 30-seconds in length, don’t expect to glean too much in terms of storyline, though the message underpinning today’s clip is overly apparent: Better Call Saul season 2 will see Odenkirk’s character embrace his darker side. In his eyes, the lawyer formerly known as Jimmy McGill questions why he’s been spending the formative years of his budding career doing the right thing when it’s only lead to greater disappointments. Buoyed by an altered state of mind, Saul Goodman is ready to take Albuquerque by storm.

It’ll take something rather special for Better Call Saul to emulate the viewing figures set by season 1, which began as the most-viewed new series on AMC last February, though we’re confident in the ability of showrunners Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould to cook up a riveting new chapter in Goodman’s arc. Joining him for season 2 are Jonathan Banks as Mike Ehrmantraut, Michael McKean as Jimmy’s brother, Chuck McGill, Rhea Seehorn as Kim Wexler, Patrick Fabian as the unbearble Howard Hamlin.

Forget Slippin’ Jimmy, Bob Odenkirk’s path to the character we know and love continues when Better Call Saul returns Monday, February 15 at 10pm on AMC – just don’t be holding your breath for an appearance by Bryan Cranston’s Walter White…yet.
