Extended Promo For iZombie Season 2, Episode 9: “Cape Town”

The CW has released an extended look at next week's brand new episode of iZombie, "Cape Town," which will serve as the mid-season finale. This should make for an interesting viewing, not only because it will likely feature all of the edge-of-your-seat moments that you would expect from a mid-season finale, but also because the only currently running TV show based on a DC Entertainment property that does not feature superheroes will dabble in that genre.

You see, Liv and the gang will investigate the murder of a vigilante named Chris Allred (a nod to iZombie comic book creators Chris Roberson and Michael Allred), who has adopted the moniker “The Fog.” If you guessed that Liv feels the need to be a superhero upon consuming his brain, then you guessed correctly.

Her costume is somewhat reminiscent of Hit Girl of Kick-Ass fame and has seemingly benefited from being able to take advantage of other DC properties. The domino mask she wears looks like it could have come from the Arrow set and her utility belt is a recolored version of the one Batman sported in The Dark Knight Trilogy.

For more information, be sure to check out the official synopsis below:

Liv (Rose McIver), Detective Babineaux (Malcolm Goodwin) and Ravi (Rahul Kohli) work together in solving the murder of Chris Allred (guest star Jay Hindle), who was a high school shop teacher by day, and a vigilante crime-fighter named “The Fog” by night. Liv gets into trouble while on superhero brains and becomes a little too much for Clive to handle. Meanwhile, Major (Robert Buckley) has an eye opening conversation with a new friend. Lastly, Blaine (David Anders) forces Liv to do the unthinkable. Mairzee Almas directed the episode written by Diane Ruggiero-Wright (#209). Original airdate 12/8/2015.

iZombie airs Tuesday nights at 9:00 pm EST on The CW.
