Thanks to the fine folks at The CW, we are able to enjoy this extended promo video for next week’s brand new episode of iZombie, which bears the clever title “Eternal Sunshine of the Caffeinated Mind.” And, as we can see in the opening moments of the footage, they are not afraid to drop it like it’s hot.
After witnessing many major developments in last night’s episode, “The Whopper,” fans can expect to see Liv and Clive investigate the murder of an entrepreneur/barista next week. It seems the dearly departed was a “glass half full” type of gal and Liv will obviously temporarily inherit her perspective on life.
While I would not count on her to start adorning her work space with “Hang in there, baby” kitty posters (although you never know with this show), it is probably a solid bet that Rose McIver will continue to bring smiles to our faces with yet another top notch performance.
You should also keep your eyes affixed to both Blaine and Drake, who are working on opposite sides of Mr. Boss’ organized crime fence. Not only was “The Whopper” an important episode for the character of Blaine, but it really expanded upon what we have come to know of Drake. It seems as though he is much more nefarious than we have been led to believe.
One thing is for certain: none of us will want to miss the remaining six episodes of this season.
For more details, be sure to check out the official synopsis below:
When an incredibly optimistic coffee-shop owner is murdered, Liv (Rose McIver) uses her sunny outlook to help Clive (Malcolm Goodwin) solve the murder. Meanwhile, things begin to go from bad to worse for Blaine (David Anders), and Drake (guest star Greg Finley) is forced to cancel plans with Liv due to a run in with Seattle’s finest. Robert Buckley and Rahul Kohli also star. Jason Bloom directed the episode written by Kit Boss (#214). Original airdate 2/23/16.
