Echo Kellum’s Returning To Arrow In An Unexpected Way

If anything, Arrow's eighth and final season should prove to be a star-studded affair as the producers begin rounding up as many returning fan favorites as possible. Though Manu Bennett has yet to receive a phone call regarding this matter, other familiar favorites have been called to task.

To briefly recap, this fall’s premiere is set to pay tribute to the first season, as Colin Donnell (Tommy Merlyn), Josh Segarra (Adrian Chase) and Susanna Thompson (Moira Queen) are all set to appear. Okay, I’m aware that Chase didn’t show up until season 5, but his villainy was a product of events occurring during season 1’s time frame. The second episode, meanwhile, will be a callback to season 3, and will feature Rila Fukushima as Katana.

Right now, we imagine that the third installment is about to begin shooting, as something interesting has transpired. You see, former series regular Echo Kellum just posted a photo showing himself outside of Arrow offices (seen below) on Instagram, accompanied by the following caption:

“I’m up to something. And it has nothing to do with acting. #Arrow #NewThingsHappening”

If season 4 were to inform the third episode, that’d be appropriate, because that’s when Kellum debuted as Curtis Holt. Then again, he flat-out said this venture has nothing to do with acting, so my assumption is that he’s directing one of the next adventures to be filmed.

Even so, it’d be nice to see Echo once again suit up as Mister Terrific before long, what with the “Crisis on Infinite Earths” crossover event rapidly approaching. If not in that, then maybe The Flash would make for a fine destination, as new showrunner Eric Wallace does want to incorporate his character at some point.

Arrow returns with new episodes on Tuesday, October 15th on The CW.
