Speaking of the Joker, we’ve been given one tease after another when it comes to him, be it via official or unofficial channels. But who we’ve seen remarkably less of is that of Jeremiah Valeska’s main squeeze, Ecco. For all intents and purposes, she’s this series’ take on Harley Quinn because that character is off limits for some stupid reason. In my view, not allowing a Batman series of any sort access to Joker and Harley would’ve been like depriving Smallville of Lex Luthor – and we all know that didn’t happen.

Regardless of any red tape, Francesca Root-Dodson’s Ecco will show up in full effect during the series finale. Thankfully, the actress herself shared a few teasers on her Instagram page, each of which can be viewed in the gallery below. Whereas Mr. J photobombs her in the first picture, the others appear to be selfies taken while cameras aren’t rolling.

Though not a carbon copy, Ecco’s costume shown here reminds me very much of Harley’s worn during the Batman: Arkham City video game. Come to think of it, her personality is actually quite in line with that vision of the Clown Princess of Crime, as she’s much more villainous than one would usually expect. Even when Harley was on the wrong side of the law in animation and comics, there was some good in her. But in the Arkham series, she was was downright evil, much like how Ecco’s behaved this season.
