Where Did Drogon Take Daenerys’ Body In Game Of Thrones?

Game of Thrones might have ended a week ago, but after eight seasons across eight years, fans aren't going to stop talking about it any time soon. Given the fact that three spinoffs are in the works, HBO won't be depriving us of our Westeros addiction for too long and in the meantime, there's still plenty to discuss concerning that controversial series finale.

Of course, one of the many questions Thronies had after “The Iron Throne” was, where did Drogon take Daenerys? After Jon cut the Mad Queen’s reign short with a dagger through the heart, we all knew dragon sh*t was about to hit the fan. The psychic link Dany and her winged child shared meant Jon probably should’ve high-tailed it out of there the moment she hit the ground. And it was almost heartbreaking to watch when a distraught Drogon appeared. Much to viewers’ relief though, he proceeded to melt the throne instead of Jon. He then flew off into the sky holding his mother, never to be seen or heard from again. Maybe.

In the final scene of the episode, the newly crowned Bran the Broken is speaking with his crew. Drogon’s mentioned and it’s said that he was last seen flying east, to which Bronn replies that the further away, the better. Bran suggests he could find him, being the three-eyed raven and all, but where is “east,” exactly?

Well, according to Google and the maps of the GoT lands, Essos is east of Westeros. It’s there that the House Targaryen originated. Could the link between Dany and Drogon be so strong that he knows to fly her back to her homeland? It would seem so, and seeing how overprotective the dragon is of his mother, Bran might be wise to only follow the beast psychically and not physically.

Tell us, though, where do you think Drogon took Dany at the end of Game of Thrones? Was it back to Essos? As always, sound off down below with your thoughts.
