It’s official: Warner Bros. and DC’s long-rumored streaming service will flicker into life as DC Universe replete with original series dedicated to Titans and Harley Quinn.
Pitched as the “ultimate DC membership,” subscribers will gain exclusive (and unlimited!) access to the following original series: the live-action Titans, Young Justice: Outsiders and an animated show dedicated to the aforementioned Miss Harleen Quinzel.
Details on pricing and availability weren’t disclosed at the time of writing, but considering DC Universe was first teased a full 18 months ago, this is an exciting update from the Warner Bros. camp, not least because it brings us that little bit closer to the mooted Metropolis drama series that was announced earlier this year. It’ll likely be rubbing shoulders with Titans et. al once Warner’s streaming service boots online before the year’s end, by which point the studio will be offering comic book fans an “immersive digital experience.”
DC Universe is a first-of-its kind, immersive digital experience designed just for DC fans. One of the many incredible things your membership will include is unlimited access to the following exclusive original series.
To coincide with today’s grand reveal, Warner Bros. has also dropped the official logos (see above) for Young Justice: Outsiders, Harley Quinn and Titans, the latter of which stars Brenton Thwaites as Dick Grayson/Robin, Anna Diop as Starfire, Teagan Croft as Raven, Ryan Potter as Beast Boy and, finally, Alan Ritchson and Minka Kelly as Hawk and Dove, respectively.
Outsiders, on the other hand, is the third installment of the beloved Young Justice animated series, while Harley Quinn looks set to take the form of a half-hour drama that skews toward a more mature audience.
DC Universe is expected to flicker into life later this year, when day-one subscribers will be able to pore over Titans, Young Justice: Outsiders, and a Harley Quinn animated series.
