4) The Art(emis) Of The Deal
Thankfully, the final 30 seconds of this week’s episode of Arrow contained a twist that had a similar effect to that of a punch in the face. Otherwise, we would have had to discuss the debut of Vigilante, who’s little more than the poor man’s Punisher.
After last week’s tease that Prometheus may, in fact, be a Quentin Lance who is experiencing blackouts, it appears the show is going in the direction that this revelation was likely a red herring. Still, that didn’t stop the producers from blindsiding us with another reveal pertaining to this season’s big bad.
[zergpaid]With Green Arrow recently taking in a handful of new recruits, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that one among them could be a traitor, but it does. It’s one of the oldest tricks in a writer’s book, yet it somehow manages to keep audiences on the edge of their seats even in 2016.
So when we saw Artemis reveal herself as a double agent colluding on a rooftop with Prometheus, it came as a most welcome turn of events. While we can’t rule out the possibility that she may be a triple agent and plans on betraying him to Team Arrow, this has without a doubt added a new measure of depth to the reinvigorating season 5.
