The Tomorrow People Brings Veronica Mars’ Jason Dohring Back To The CW

If you're a fan of the cult TV show, Veronica Mars, or one of the many, many people that donated to the recent Kickstarter campaign for its long-awaited cinematic return, then the name Jason Dohring probably means something extraordinarily spectacular to you. If not, then that first sentence probably just seems overly dramatic and gratuitous. Either way, Dohring will be making his return to the small screen later this year as a guest start on the CW sci-fi drama, The Tomorrow People.

If you’re a fan of the cult TV show Veronica Mars, or one of the many, many people that donated to the recent Kickstarter campaign for its long-awaited cinematic return, then the name Jason Dohring probably means something extraordinarily spectacular to you.

If not, then that first sentence probably just seems overly dramatic and gratuitous.

Either way, Dohring will be making his return to the small screen later this year as a guest start on the CW sci-fi drama, The Tomorrow People.

The Tomorrow People is one of several new shows the network will be airing starting this Fall. The show will star Robbie Amell (yes, he is the brother of Arrow‘s Stephen Amell, and equally easy on the eyes), and will focus on humans with a talent for the paranormal.

Dohring will be playing Killian McCrane, a character that previously worked for the agency that hunts down the Tomorrow People before he went off the grid. McCrane comes back for some kind of undisclosed revenge and will encounter his former co-worker, John (Luke Mitchell), along the way.

The last time we saw Dohring on television was in the short-lived CW drama, Ringer – starring Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ioan Gruffudd, and Kristoffer Polaha – which was cancelled after its first season. The actor recently wrapped on the Veronica Mars movie and was on-hand last month for Comic-Con in San Diego to do some publicity for the film, due out in 2014.

Jason Dohring is set to appear on episode 1-04 and The Tomorrow People premieres on the CW on October 9th.

Are you looking forward to more Dohring in your life, or do you prefer him as Logan Echols? Let us know in the comment section below! Don’t forget to chime in with your thoughts on the show itself. Do you think it will make it to see as second season or are you already skeptical?
