Black Mirror has been met with great critical acclaim ever since it debuted in 2011. The show, which had its debut on the British television network Channel 4, was then transferred to Netflix, where three additional seasons debuted in 2016, 2017, and 2019. The show teased a summer return with the official release date of Thursday, June 15. The announcement came with an official two-minute trailer, episode titles, cast list, and loglines.

The upcoming season is confirmed to have five episodes. Fans are in for a lot more surprise as Brooker has promised “crazy swings and more variety than ever before.” Brooker also provided Netflix’s Tudum with some insight into what the show might offer,

“I’ve always felt that Black Mirror should feature stories that are entirely distinct from one another, and keep surprising people — and myself — or else what’s the point? It should be a series that can’t be easily defined, and can keep reinventing itself.”
