Bob Odenkirk’s inimitable criminal lawyer is on the up and up in new key art for Better Call Saul season 2. Arriving off the back of new images welcoming Jimmy McGill back into business, today’s new promo is surely one of – if not the – final media dumps ahead of AMC unveiling the first official trailer for Odenkirk’s sophomore outing.
Sporting a sharp suit with briefcase in tow, it’s understood that Better Call Saul season 2 will find Jimmy McGill climbing the ladder in his seemingly never-ending pursuit of success. Slippin’ Jimmy is no more. This time around, McGill begins to take the final steps into becoming the sleazy, fast-talking lawyer he was born to be, Saul Goodman – and Albuquerque won’t know what’s hit it.
Joining Odernkirk for the show’s second stint on the airwaves is Jonathan Banks as hardboiled hitman Mike Ehrmantraut, and according to series showrunner Vince Gilligan and writer Peter Gould, we’ll begin to see the pair form a more mutually beneficial – yet still strained – relationship in season 2, with twists and turns aplenty lying in wait.
“Jimmy McGill’s journey takes surprising, left-handed turns in season two of ‘Better Call Saul.’ He goes to places we’d never, ever expected. As for Mike Ehrmantraut, he’s pulled deeper into a world he was sure he’d left forever,” said Peter Gould. “We can’t wait to share the next chapter of ‘Better Call Saul’ with the fans who have embraced the show.”
Better Call Saul returns with season 2 on Monday, February 15 at 10:00 pm ET/PT.
