Tomorrow marks the end of FX’s Justified, and along with it, one of the most reliably engrossing, sharp, and flat-out entertaining shows on television. The series made a 60-page short story into a crime show like no other, transporting viewers to a patch of rural Kentucky populated by criminals as likeable and clever as the cops.
Before Raylan Givens walks off into the sunset, allow me to attempt the difficult task of narrowing down six years of fantastic writing, direction, and acting into the 10 episodes representing the very best of Justified. We’ll miss the show greatly once it’s gone, but at least we’ll have the following 10 hours, and many more to look back on when remembering the legend of one of FX’s all-time great shows, and one of TVs recent best, period.
