It’s been a pretty huge week for fans of The CW. The other day, the network pulled back the curtain on its fall schedule, which includes brand new episodes for Supergirl, Black Lightning, The Flash, Arrow and many more. Of course, everyone’s also been looking forward to the arrival of Batwoman, the newest entry in the long-running Arrowverse, and not only did fans finally get a glimpse at The CW’s take on the Batsuit, but they also got their hands on the first full-length trailer, which showed Kate Kane’s journey as she takes on the mantle of Batwoman.
There seems to be a lot in store for her, too, as she’ll face off with the Lewis Carroll-inspired Alice during the first season. But unfortunately, the reaction to the show hasn’t been terribly positive so far. With 170,000 dislikes on YouTube, compared to its 50,000 likes, it’s clear that the footage on display hasn’t gone down very well and The CW might be in a bit of trouble if this preview’s indicative of the final product.
Of course, folks have taken to Twitter as well to share their thoughts, and below, you can see but a sampling of what they’re saying.
Yuck I was optimistic about this but jeese the dialogue is more of this nonsense plus what happened to Bruce choosing her to take the mantle?

Yikes! Hopefully The CW will take this stuff into consideration and the final product won’t be quite as underwhelming as what was shown in the trailer. They certainly have enough time to make some changes, as while no premiere date has been given, we imagine it won’t drop until the fall.
Or maybe it’ll debut in January 2020 and end up taking Arrow‘s timeslot? Before that, though, it’s fair to assume that Kate Kane will appear at some point during the “Crisis on Infinite Earths” crossover, no matter when her solo series kicks off.
For more info, be sure to check out the freshly released synopsis below:
Armed with a passion for social justice and a flair for speaking her mind, Kate Kane soars onto the streets of Gotham as Batwoman, an out lesbian and highly trained street fighter primed to snuff out the failing city’s criminal resurgence.
