Honestly, what on Earth is The CW cooking up with “Elseworlds,” this year’s Arrowverse crossover?
Every day things get more and more exciting and the layers of intrigue surrounding how everything fits together just keep piling on. But at long last, we’re starting to move past the set photos and are finally getting some official shots. In fact, earlier today we saw a great pic of Ruby Rose’s Batwoman in action and now, we have a new photo that unites the Arrowverse trinity – that’d be Green Arrow, the Flash and Supergirl – with 90s Flash!
Yes, that’s John Wesley Shipp you’ll see there in the gallery below. As fans will know, the actor played Barry Allen back on the 1990’s TV show, while also appearing on the current version of The Flash as Jay Garrick, and it seems he’ll be lending our heroes a hand come this December.
How, or even why Shipp is back in the Arrowverse is unclear, but we’re certainly happy to see him here and you can check out both this latest photo and the aforementioned one of Ruby Rose in the following gallery:
From Shipp’s presence to the introduction of Batwoman to Superman’s black suit and, of course, the fact that Barry and Oliver have seemingly traded places, we’ve seriously been struggling to figure out what The CW has planned for us, but you can bet that “Elseworlds” will be one heck of an event, that’s for sure.
And it all kicks off on Sunday, December 9 with The Flash, continues on Monday, December 10 with Arrow, and wraps up on Tuesday, December 11 with Supergirl. Will you be tuning in? Be sure to let us know by dropping a comment in the usual place.
