Although I’m well aware of how Arrow‘s season finale set to air next week is said to be quite the game-changer, part of me was expecting for a major character to bite the dust in last night’s episode. Actually, that came close to happening when Ricardo Diaz brutally stabbed Mr. Terrific, but the ever resilient Curtis Holt lived to fight – and hack – another day.
So, even though the principal cast remains intact for the time being, I can’t help but reflect on what happened in the closing moments of “The Ties That Bind.” If you’ll recall, Oliver Queen revealed to an FBI agent who’s been a thorn in his side for the past year that he is, in fact, the Green Arrow before she demanded a second stipulation be met in advance of her lending help in the war against Diaz and his veritable army.
Now, the promo seen at the top gives us hints as to how violent and tense the coming battle will be, though I keep coming back to how the finale is titled “Life Sentence.” Sure, Ollie may have been acquitted in court, but I wonder if the caveat unknown to us at this point is that he’ll willingly turn himself in after it’s all said and done.
