Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) has impeccably made his mark as a rebel in an authoritarian regime dominated by the evil Empire. No wonder there are enemies lurking around the corner, waiting to cast him away for good.

While Sith Lords as well as evil manipulative Emperors and their wingmen have done a fine job in displaying their cruelty towards the ‘offenders’ in the previous Star Wars films, Andor has proved how humans and their egocentrism can pose an even harder challenge for their enemies. We are talking about none other than Syril Karn (Kyle Soller) and Dedra Meero (Denise Gough).

In season one, we saw the duo joining hands over their shared hatred of Andor and the Rebellion as a whole. So much so that they refuted the Empire’s perception, deeming Andor’s actions as isolated events with no broader goal.

As dangerous as the pair’s team-up was in the first season, the fans are interested to know if season two will further show the collaboration between the two iconic villains and how tough it’s going to be for Cassian. Speaking to Screen Rant, Soller, who plays Syril, confirmed the appearance of both characters in the upcoming season:

“Season 2? I mean, it pops off in season 2. They’ve turned it up to [11]. What can I say? Where you leave Syril in season 1 is with Dedra in the middle of the riot. There’s so much potential from that moment. They both want the same; they both want Cassian, and they both realize that they can be stronger together. There can be some union involved here, but they don’t know what that is. There’s a section where you find Syril on his own. And its in a very, very, very different way from season 1. I think in the time jumps, there’s just such a cliffhanger from where he’s going and what’s going to happen near the end of season 1. Who’s this Dedra person? There’s something going on there. I really wanted to find out whether he was going to move out of his mom’s house, and then what was going to happen to Dedra. And you get answers to both of those things.”

With the confirmation, the viewers are speculating as to what roles they could possibly play in creating troubles in the lives of the rebels and Andor. How their storylines will progress remain uncertain, but they will most certainly retain their image as the Empire’s keen representatives.
