For Sarah Paulson and Taissa Farmiga, American Horror Story season 8 is about to spell double trouble.
As previously revealed, the former AHS mainstay will be reprising “Murder House” and “Coven” characters come September, meaning viewers will be treated to both Billie Dean Howard and Cordelia Goode. Indeed, last week’s certifiably creepy promo for “Apocalypse” appeared to reveal Paulson’s third character, though when the marketing is as cryptic and unconventional as American Horror Story, we can’t be too sure.
One thing we can tell you with absolute certainty though is that, just like Sarah Paulson before her, Taissa Farmiga will be playing not one, but two characters during American Horror Story: Apocalypse – Violet Harmon and Zoe Benson.
Word comes to us by way of Entertainment Weekly, confirming that, yes, Farmiga has been tasked with two AHS characters ahead of the show’s eighth season.

And that’s it, really. In keeping with the show’s knack for secrecy and deception, Taissa Farmiga merely confirmed that she’ll be playing two American Horror Story characters in a few weeks’ time, when she’ll be joined by a whole host of A-list talent.
For instance, among the stacked cast list is Stevie Nicks as Stevie Nicks, Lily Rabe as Misty Day, Emma Roberts as Madison Montgomery, Gabourey Sidibe as Queenie and Frances Conroy as Myrtle Snow. It was also revealed last week that “Murder House” duo Dylan McDermott and Connie Britton will be back for more.
Suffice it to say, American Horror Story: Apocalypse is a crowded affair, though only on September 12th will we find out whether Ryan Murphy and his team have delivered on the sky-high expectations of the show’s first major crossover event. And you thought Avengers: Infinity War was the year’s most ambitious crossover…
