The next season of Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story is bumping up its roster of cast members to include another familiar face. While the content, tone and style of its fifth season – titled American Horror Story: Hotel – will strike out into new territory, the cast is turning into somewhat of a reunion. The latest to sign up is Evan Peters, whose downright creepy performances throughout the show’s run are a major highlight.
Peters was announced via Murphy’s Twitter, and the brief teaser message suggests he may take a backseat for a smaller supporting role, or perhaps even just a guest turn. Alongside another returning AHS stalwart, Sarah Paulson, Peters will now have appeared in every single season of the FX anthology show. At this time, there’s no details on who it is he’s expected to play, but due to the format of the series he will not be reprising a previous character.
The inclusion of Peters now boosts the total number of confirmed cast members to eight. In addition to newcomers Lady Gaga and Cheyenne Jackson, Peters will be joined by Coven‘s Kathy Bates, Asylum‘s Chloe Sevigny and Freak Show‘s Wes Bentley and Matt Bomer.
Production on American Horror Story: Hotel is preparing for a summer shoot ahead of its premiere later in the year. Tell us, who else would you like to see back in Murphy’s twisted world? Let us know in the comments below!
