8 Theories About Savitar’s True Identity In The Flash Season 3

When Savitar first appeared in season 3 of The Flash, it appeared as if he would be little more than the self-proclaimed God of Speed he said he was. Since then, it's become clear that he ties into the Scarlet Speedster's mythology in a much bigger way and that he has an identity which, when revealed, will blow the minds of both fans and Barry Allen.

The villainous Abra Kadabra looks set to make his debut in an upcoming episode of The Flash, and it’s been said that he offers to reveal Savitar’s identity in exchange for a favour from the Fastest Man Alive. All we know right now is that he hails far from into the future, and while he’s unlikely to tell Barry that he’s Savitar, that could just be a lie to manipulate the hero.

Savitar said that he will soon meet the Flash before their battle lands him trapped in the Speed Force, and Abra Kadabra is the only major villain coming to the series that we know of, so that alone makes him a very likely candidate. The clash between the two culminating with Barry attempting to throw him back into the future only for Abra Kadabra to wind up stuck in the Speed Force would make for a great start to Savitar’s origin and eventual transformation into the God of Speed.
