The latter episodes of season one introduced the idea of Project Cadmus, a mysterious governmental facility that experiment on aliens and kidnapped Kara’s step-father Jeremiah. Fans of the Young Justice TV series will know that Cadmus is usually responsible for creating Superboy, a teenage clone of Kal-El.
Superboy’s addition would make for a nifty new arc for Kara’s character. After all, she was sent to Earth to protect her cousin but ended up arriving later than him due to the Phantom Zone.
[zergpaid]Superboy is usually depicted as an angrier, more conflicted character than Superman, so in the show, Supergirl could act as a mentor to her cousin’s clone, just as she was meant to be for Clark.
