2) The Runaways
From teen runaways to the actual Runaways, Marvel sure does have a soft spot for heroes who don’t like to fit the mould. The Runaways are a relatively recent addition to the Marvel Universe, debuting in 2003, but their success has led to numerous talks about a possible live action show.
The six original members of the group banded together once they discovered that their parents were all in fact criminals known collectively as The Pride. To right the wrongs of their families, the teens stole their parents resources and used their newfound abilities to take The Pride down.
In many ways, the Runaways are like a modern version of the original X-Men, misfits who don’t belong in regular society. As Fox own the rights to everyone’s favourite band of merry mutants, The Runaways could be the next best thing for Marvel, and their lack of costumes or code names would help them fit into the grittier, more realistic worldview that’s being set up by Daredevil on Netflix.
