Stilt Man

So, you want to be a super villain? Creating a fear toxin or strength-enhancing potion certainly makes sense, but it’s hard to imagine what Wilbur Day was thinking when he created a battle suit with stilts for legs. Circus robberies aside, the criminal application of being super tall doesn’t mean much in a world where the majority of crime fighters can fly or leap across tall buildings in a single bound.

Legs containing hydraulic rams that can be used as battering rams. A stun gun. The ability to punch a pigeon mid flight. There’s no denying that Stilt-Man is a ridiculous character and his inclusion in the Daredevil show could detract from the gritty aesthetic that the showrunners are aiming for, but this wouldn’t be the first time that someone lame has been reinvented successfully for live action.

The idea of using Stilt-Man in an episode of Daredevil is so absurd that it might just work. Just don’t hold your breath for the shows writers to jump on board any time soon.
