“Any Means Possible” (Season 1, Episode 15)
Up until this point, the villain had overwhelmingly been a faceless monster cloaked in government funding. In this episode of Beauty and the Beast, we came face to face with a new threat.
Although hindsight is 20/20, ADA Lowen enters the scene as a tough-going public servant bent on justice, but comes across as a little too smooth to not be greasy. His first encounter with Cat may have even been considered charming, if it didn’t look like he had planned the entire thing.
Cat is on clean up duty since Vincent has now been pegged as the vigilante. The Captain is taking a personal interest in the case after the death of his brother, and Cat is desperate to find the witness that can clear Vincent’s name.
Meanwhile, Cat and Vincent are moving along in their relationship. They’ve both already admitted that they are in love, and are ready to take the next step. Unfortunately, Vincent is suffering from some anxiety regarding being safe between the sheets – and not in the normal guy way, either.
A masquerade ball, undercover work, and an unexpected ending make this episode one of the show’s better outings.
