8) Raven
Not all of the Teen Titans are just young versions of Justice League members, though. The dark and enigmatic Raven AKA Rachel Roth has become of the most famous members of the team, thanks to her status as a driving force in the best Teen Titans run ever.
First, a bit of history. Though the Titans were first created in 1965, the team didn’t become one of DC’s biggest titles until Marv Wolfman and George Perez rebooted them in 1980. At the centre of the Wolfman/Perez era was Raven, who gathered the team back together in order to take on her own father, the demonic Trigon, who has gone down as one of the Titans’ primary enemies.
Raven is also one of the most powerful members of the team. As an empath, she can influence the emotions of others and even take on someone’s pain for herself to heal them. She can generate shadows and darkness and traverse the astral plane, becoming what she calls her “soul-self.” Occasionally, Trigon’s will takes over and turn Raven to the dark side, but she always returns to the Titans eventually.
