4) Ash Vs. Evil Dead Season 1
Bruce Campbell is the definition of a cult hero, amassing a legion of fans larger than the Army of Darkness ever since he first starred in the classic horror franchise Evil Dead. Although Campbell has since appeared in a range of movies, including Bubba Ho-Tep and the original Spider-Man trilogy, devoted followers of his career have been pining for one thing and one thing only… a return to the horror franchise that made his name.
Aside from the occasional video game and an awesome post-credits cameo in the Evil Dead remake, there appeared to be little chance of ever seeing Ash return to our screens with his trademark chainsaw in tow. Thank god then for director Sam Raimi and Campbell, who have successfully convinced someone high up to produce a new TV series set in the world of the original Evil Dead franchise.
While we are yet to see an episode in full, the trailer for Ash Vs. Evil Dead has us very excited indeed, and if that wasn’t enough, series creator Raimi actually directed the pilot, so it seems like we’re definitely in safe hands with this one.
Ash Vs. Evil Dead is set to premiere on October 31st, so prepare yourselves for a cheesy yet exhilarating showdown with some grotesque demons on Halloween night.
